Bio

With over fifteen years of experience in creating harsh and dark electro-industrial music, nolongerhuman, the solo project from the American-based artist Clint Robertson, masterfully injects soul and beauty into a genre that is typically defined by volume and attack factor.

Formed in 2006, nolongerhuman has been active in the scene ever since, evolving both the sound and performance into a headlining act, playing innumerable festivals, touring the North American continent, and becoming a regular on both the DAC and GEWC, gaining a large and loyal fanbase across the globe.

With deeply personal lyrics and aggressive, danceable, hard-hitting beats, nolongerhuman’s expression is one of a reflection on humanity, society, and the struggle to be human in the distinctly inhumane times we live.

Live performances are intense, energetic, and all-encompassing, transmitting that same energy to the audience.  Along with accompanying visuals, nolongerhuman provides an experience that will leave the crowd exhausted, exhilarated, and ready for more.

Industry Quotes

“nolongerhuman strikes back with a totally accomplished and banging piece of Dark-Electronics. I belief this work will be for sure one of the best productions from 2023 in its genre.” – Inferno Sound Diaries, Side-Line Magazine

“Although it is only the middle of spring, this record is probably the peak performance of new school dark electro this year. We think that with this publication, the bar in the genre has been set so high that it would be horribly difficult to even touch it from the get-go.” – NecrogenesiS – Magyar Industrial Webzine, Marionette Review (Hungarian, translated)

“…’Dead Inside’ is the first single from the upcoming album “Marionette”. Hellelectro is perfectly combined with sad dark electro melody and dark ambiance, the balance is not tilted to either side, meanwhile the distorted song reflects the pain of the lyrics. If the rest of the album will be of similar quality, then you can apply for the album of the year award from me.” – NecrogenesiS – Magyar Industrial Webzine, “Dead Inside” Review (Hungarian, translated)

“With over a decade of experience creating harsh electronic music, Clint Robertson AKA nolongerhuman has slowly been gaining a bigger and more loyal fanbase with his uncompromising melodies and deep, personal lyrics that are splattered onto the masses. This ten track monster spans nearly an hour, with top of the line dark electro spasms and insane numbers… Now, when it comes to the dark electro scene, it’s sometimes hard to find great and new tracks, as a lot of it comes out the same with garbled vocals and the same structure repeated time and time again. But, that’s where nolongerhuman differs; each track brought out on this album… manages to overcome a lot of the cliches that currently riddle the genre. Taking a bold step forward to cross the line into new territory, this man has come out with a brilliant album for mid 2014 with Withdrawal. I would not doubt if it appeared on a few album of the year lists later on down the line, but for now, I think it just landed on my list.” – Steven Gullotta, Brutal Resonance

“Depersonalization is setting the template for how Dark Electro should sound in 2012 – far removed from the violent, gory, sexual ethic, instead replacing it with more relevant tunes about everything from politics to loss and unemployment, Clint shows us that with a little hint of ingenuity, the wheel can be re-invented.” – Nick Quarm, Brutal Resonance

“nolongerhuman’s diary entry like lyrics set the band apart from some of the other industrial bands out now and the creepy sound to each track is delightful and well executed.” – Ovis Terrell Ross, Regen Magazine

“As we weed through the plethora of bands that release this brand of electro-industrial where the vocals are distorted as if the vocalist drank a gallon of gasoline before singing, it’s interesting to find one now and again that stands out in one way or another. The main selling point behind this band is that they bring all of these styles together with power and yet the lyrics and samples aren’t chock full of vulgarity and hate but are rather genuine and thought-provoking. This doesn’t detract at all from the overall power and force behind the music and each track on this album as it shows from the first pounding beat and electronic loops of “Let Me Go” on through each pulsating and driving piece.” – Gothic Paradise, ‘Antipathy’ Review
